Kahurangi School Spellathon 2025 – Support Our One and Only Fundraiser!

This is it – our only school fundraiser, held just once every two years. Your support means everything.

The Kahurangi School Spellathon is a fun and focused way for our tamariki to challenge themselves and give back to their kura. Each child receives a list of spelling words tailored to their level and spends five weeks practising before our big testing day on Friday 5 September.

In the lead-up, they’ll be seeking sponsorship from friends, whānau and neighbours – either a set donation or an amount per correct word.

Why are we fundraising?

All money raised will go towards Education Outside The Classroom (EOTC) and after-school sports – activities that enrich our tamariki’s learning and wellbeing. We’re committed to making sure every child can take part, regardless of their whānau’s financial situation – and we want to keep it that way. We can’t do it without your tautoko.
