Kahurangi School Spell-a-thon 2021

We are asking our children to put their brains to work for the benefit of our only school fundraiser which happens every second year.
Every child is given a list of words (at their level) to learn to spell. They will have a month to learn to spell these words before the Spellathon event on Tuesday 22 June. We are offering incentive prizes (e.g. fidgets, sports balls, vouchers) for children who earn over a certain amount. We also have prizes for the highest earners in every class along with the highest earner in the school.
About us
At Kahurangi School in Strathmore Park, Wellington, our Year 1–8 ākonga come from diverse backgrounds. We’re proud of our inclusive, connected kura where tamariki grow into resilient, capable and respectful learners.
Use of funds
At Kahurangi all our children play after-school sports for free! We've chosen to do this so EVERY child has the opportunity to play no matter whether their whānau can afford for them to play or not. The funds raised will support this commitment.
