Christmas in Takaro Park 2015 - a free concert and hangi for the Western Suburbs of Palmerston North. An event not to be missed!

Christmas in Takaro Park 2015 has been generously supported by the Palmerston North City Council, however additional funds are required.

Christmas in Takaro Park 2015 is a family focussed community event which celebrates Christmas and the cultural diversity of the area.

The Western Suburbs of Palmerston North benefit greatly from family friendly, positive events and we need your support to make this event a huge success!

It is going to be one not to be missed, with a huge hangi / umu being prepared and given out for free! Along with a sausage sizzle, free yoghurt, and free fruit for children.

A fabulous line up of acts will be showcased including kapa haka, pasifika items, band, solo acts, dance, and choir/carols. Fun for the whole whanau.

We hope to raise additional funds to cover some of the smaller costs not covered in our funding grants such as face paint, drinking water, fruit, and sausage sizzle costs.

Legacy Centre are facilitating this event. The City Council and Central Energy Trust have offered generous support, however to put on a completely free hangi and concert with high quality sound gear, staging, and lighting requires considerable funds.

While the major costs are covered, we have smaller costs yet to fund such as face paint, drinking water, fruit, and sausage sizzle costs.

We believe our community is worth it! We hope you will want to support us to put on a really great family event this Christmas.

Legacy Centre is a Christian community centre that has a vision to bring spiritual, social, and economic transformation to Palmerston North by helping the most broken and needy. Earlier this year the Palmerston North Police said that 5 percent of our community causes about 80 percent of the problems. Our vision is to change our whole city by helping the most broken and needy people in our city.
