This is a combined initiative by Aunty Ma, Stacey and Spud to help Clint, Rach and the kids through Clint's recovery. Let's ease the load.

Waikato

On Wednesday 29th July Clint suffered a suspected Cardiac Arrest and the amazing team up at Whakapapa and the local emergency services were able to resuscitate him after some time.

He was choppered up to Waikato with his babe Rach by his side and he was placed into an induced coma. Tests have revealed 2 blocked arteries in his heart 😳 and he is now in for a major operation and months of recovery.

Our focus is now looking at the recovery phase and helping out through this tough journey. Taking the load off Clint and Rach as he re builds his strength. Hundreds of messages of support have come in and we thought this would be an appropriate way for whanau and friends to support the Mariu Whanau.

Use of funds

Will be used by the Mariu Whanau for everyday living expenses while Clint recovers and gets the rest his body needs. It will help cover food / power/ heating etc and also additional costs involved with extra medical check ups etc.

Clint and I want to say that we are incredibly grateful to everyone for your kind words, generosity and support through this challenging time. We are very blessed to have so many amazing people behind us as we start a new chapter in our lives. Clint's recovery and rehab is progressing as it should and he continues to improve everyday. - Especially because he doesn't enjoy sitting on the couch! He is definitely determined and a fighter. We look forward to the day when we can say thank you in person and celebrate life together. We love you all - Rach & Clint.
