North Harbour Special Olympics has a flourishing Snow Sports programme with many gifted athletes taking part in regular training and sporting events. We have been lucky enough to have two of these athletes selected to represent our club and New Zealand at these games next year. Cosmo Adams representing snowboarding and Marc Enderle Alpine skiing.
The 2025 Special Olympics World Winter Games, officially known as the XII Special Olympics World Winter Games. and commonly known as Torino 2025, (Italian: XII Giochi Mondiali Invernali Special Olympics) is a planned international multi-sport event. It will be the 12th Special Olympics World Winter Games. They are scheduled to take place in Turin, Piedmont, Italy from 8 to 17 March 2025. This marks the first time that Italy has hosted the Special Olympics World Games.
Special Olympics North Harbour has two athletes selected for the 2025 World Winter Games in Torino. This is a life changing opportunity for these athletes.
Special Olympics offers sports programmes for people with intellectual disabilities.
With costs of up to $30,000.00 per athlete we are going to need some help to make their dream happen.
