Life can change in an instant. The family appreciates the support they receive, as it allows them to focus on Crystal’s health and recovery.
Feilding, Manawatu-Wanganui
Life has been flipped upside down for this young family in the last 2 weeks.
After multiple visits and misdiagnosis from Drs, we got the news that there was a tumour the size of a golf ball behind Crystals left eye. On August 18 2025, Crystal got diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumour behind her left eye. Surgery was scheduled to be in a fortnight from that date, but two days later, post diagnosis, the tumour started bleeding while at home and in a frantic rush, she got flown down to Wellington hospital for emergency surgery the following day.
The amazing surgeons were able to remove as much of the tumour as possible, but unfortunately some of the tumour had to be untouched due to it being untwined in the brain.
Crystal has a long road to recovery and will be starting cancer treatment, therapy and rehabilitation through Palmerston North hospital.
The contribution, no matter how small, will take the stress off any financial pressures.
Crystal, Mack and their 2 little boys, Mason (3) and Tyler (5months), appreciate the love and support through this tough time.
I am her sister
The money will be used for groceries, petrol and any accommodation for the family to remain by Crystal’s side
