Making the Cut: June 15 2021 ill be braving the cold 🥶 to support our dear friend and her family who are faced with some very real challenging times ahead. As her daughter inlaw has been Diagnosed with an agreesive form of Leukemia. Davina is the only person I know who makes everyone she meets, greets or growls; SMILE. . . Happiness is her innate nature, service is a very close 2nd and has gifted the world by instilling this in her family. . . This is their story:
My beautiful daughter-in-law, 29yr old Alura Pretious. Who is an amazing wife and beautiful mum to a 3yr old girl.
April 2021 Alura was admitted into the Royal Brisbane Women's Hospital with a low blood count. Results came back and Alura has been diagnosed with Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia (APML) which is aggressive.
Alura remains in hospital and is taking Oral chemo and going through test and changes to her medicine until the Dr's have the Leukemia under control.
So in support of her and her family I am committing my hair! This will not come close to the amount of times she's made my heart smile without even realizing she's doing it. A huge positive influence where ever she goes. We love you whanau

Use of funds
All funds will be transferred to Davina directly to help elevate the financial burdens that have, are and will continue to come as Davina is the one who is overseeing finances while Alura continues with tests and treatments and focuses on her health and recovery.

MADE THE CUT 16 June 2021
Lastnight I was privileged to meet with Davina and be part of her girls youth group. We were able to share the story of the the struggles and share the love we have for each other. I have never seen this woman cry before so I knew this act alone touched her heart. The girls we shared this moment with expressed how they felt and shared their stories and love also! Was a truely humblining experience and one I never thought woukd happen like this. Thank you Davina for letting me do this and for all your love and support that you give not only to me and my family but everyone in your life. We love you so much and hope that the future looks a brighter even in the smallest amount. Thank you to those who supported the cause and even those that didn't. We appreciate you all so much!!!
