Family means everything to us here at the East Coast Bays Volunteer Fire Brigade. Please help us to help our Australian firefighting family.
Auckland
Australian firefighters are having to battle the biggest bushfires seen to date. Tough and variable conditions are making work on the fire ground extremely challenging.
Most of the firefighters are volunteers, having sacrificed their income, time with family, and even their homes to these devastating fires.
To date, four volunteer firefighters in particular have made the biggest sacrifice of all to help serve their community, their lives. Andrew O’Dwyer (36) and Geoffrey Keaton (32) from the Horsley Park Fire Brigade, NSW.
Samuel McPaul (28) from the Morven Fire Brigade, NSW.
Bill Slade (60) from Forest Fire Management, VIC.
These four brave men died in the line of duty.
The East Coast Bays Volunteer Fire Brigade in Auckland, New Zealand are fundraising to help support the families of Andrew, Geoffrey, Samuel, and Bill.
In no way does money make up for the loss of four incredible people.
We hope that it can help to relieve some of the financial burden for the families, as they work through the grieving process.
ANZ will be aiding in the transfer of funds from New Zealand to Australia.
As a Volunteer Fire Brigade, we understand the sacrifices, skills, and determination needed to complete the job. We would like to fund raise and support the families of Andrew, Geoffrey, Samuel, and Bill in an incredibly hard time.
All money raised will be divided between the families of the firefighters through the assistance of ANZ bank.
