Let’s Celebrate Eid al-Fitr 2023 Together!
Celebrate Eid with your loved ones at New Zealand's largest Eid event.
For the first time ever, we desperately need your help to deliver NZED – Auckland 2023.
The grants that we have applied for in the past are not available to us this year, leaving us with a huge gap in our budget. With our current funds, we will be restricted to host an Eid 'prayer only' at Mount Smart Stadium. Therefore, we are humbly reaching out to the community to fundraise $10,000 so that we can cover that gap and deliver the event that our children have come to love and look forward to.
For the past 11 years, our bi-annual event has become a fixture of the Auckland Muslim calendar with the help of grants, community donations, and stall sales. Our vision has always been to foster a united and connected Muslim community across Aotearoa-New Zealand, with our events expanding to the major cities in recent years.
Inshallah with your help and support, NZ Eid Day can once again host an event that will bring the community together.

Use of funds
All funds raised will go towards the events hosted in New Zealand. This includes event hire, games and entertainment, cleaners, security, sound and audio, electricity and everything else needed to run an event like this!

Wellington’s first Eid al Fitr 14 April 2023
Thank you to everyone that has contributed so far - we’ve been overwhelmed by the sheer support expressed by you all! With your efforts we have exceeded our goal of $10,000.
Off the back of your generosity, and to provide an opportunity to those who missed out on this valuable Sadaqah, we are extending the fundraiser to $15k, to assist with Eid Day in Wellington, which is holding it's first ever event for Eid al Fitr.
Please continue to give generously and make the most of the blessing in Ramadan which will continue to help and build up the Muslim communities of New Zealand and our future generation, Inshallah.
