Donate to support the recovery in Nepal following the devastating magnitude-7.8 earthquake near the capital city.
Hawke's Bay
As many of you know, Nepal was hit by a magnitude-7.8 earthquake on Saturday leaving the country devastated and the capital in ruins. In just a few short days, the death toll has surpassed 4000, and that number is expected to rise as they reach the more rural villages impacted by the earthquake and begin to clear the debris in the capital.
We are calling on the EIT and wider Hawke's Bay community to help Nepal and those suffering as a result of this earthquake by donating what you can. All proceeds for this fundraiser will be donated to DirectRelief and GlobalGiving.
We are involved in this cause because of our ties with Nepal and our Nepali community in Hawke's Bay. Additionally, our Nepalese students wanted to be able to do something to help their country and all of those impacted by the earthquake.
