Retired working dog Fen needs your help!

We are fundraising for just such a case "Fen" needed surgery to remove the pin from an old fracture repair which was causing lameness. He was signed over to us by his owners, and his pin was removed (as well as his testicles!). We have $350 left of the surgery to pay and would really appreciate any assistance in this!

About us

Retired Working Dog Adoption NZ was founded in July 2012. Our aim is to find a loving retirement home for these amazing dogs, after all their years of hard work. Working dogs are the backbone of our country, and when they are no longer able to do their job on the big farms, we are here to help them find a place to spend the rest of their days in comfort.

We also take in young "failed dogs" who are not talented enough for the job they were bred for, as well as dogs who have sustained an injury and whose owner's cannot justify spending the money to fix them.

On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
