Fight for My life

Last year in October 2020 my world fell apart when I was diagnosed with Advanced Bowel Cancer which has spread to my lymph nodes and Liver it has been a emotional roller coaster of a ride from been told by 2 Drs there will be nothing that can be done but then getting to my Oncologist to be told I might have a chance and starting Chemo to shrink the tumours then to be told after an updated scan(I had to wait 3 months in the system to get to Oncology) that there had been significant growth over the 3 month wait period and surgery may not happen

I recently met with a surgeon who said they would do a liver resection but given the area my liver tumours are (they are close to important structures) it will be very difficult and may or may not be successful but they would like to give me a chance so I will be having Liver surgery in the next few weeks, then Bowel Surgery and more chemo I have recently completed a brutal 8 rounds of chemo so far.

I am a Single Mother to my precious grown children who I so want to be here for and Im going to be a Nan for the first time in October I cant wait!

I have a 4 year old son Ive had in my care since a baby who has medical needs and relies on me.

I have so much to live for and want to give it my best shot

Ive spent my life caring for others including 26 Years Fostering and had my own Family support service for 5 years helping others etc so its hard for me to ask for help but having Cancer has taught me that I too are important and need support at times, like right now.
