The children of Taviya District School in Fiji have lost their school to cyclone winston please help assist us in rebuilding our school.

Taviya District School is located on the beautifully small island of Ovalau, Fiji. Unfortunately cyclone winston has destroyed all of the schools five classrooms and currently the children have nowhere to continue their important education. Life is tough enough for these children and schooling is nearly their only opportunity of gaining a better standard of living for themselves and for future generations to come.

Please help us assist in the rebuild of this by leaving a loving message and generous donation that I personally will be able to hand over to the school in May of this year.

I Marcel de Vries am involved with this cause because last year I spent 6 (of the very best months of my life) volunteering at this wonderful school.

The experience of helping all of the lovely children at this school to better their english was immensely satisfying, now to hear the school has been destroyed and the children currently have nowhere and no way of continuing their education is heart-breaking.

In an effort to help these children get what they deserve (their beloved school rebuilt) I have personally set up this page to collect support in the form of lovely messages and generous donations.

At the end of may this year I will be returning to the school and it is then that your loving words and generous donations will be passed over to the school to further assist with the rebuild.

More than $500 6 May 2016

Astonishing to see that thanks to all of your wonderfull support and kind words we have all managed to raise a little over $500.

Also the donations have been coming in thick and fast from more children's clothing to even a few laptops being kindly donated to this great cause.

When we look at this in the grand scheme of things it will contribute a very long way in terms of being able to provide the school with building materials, the children stationaries and the teachers confidence their school will soon be back to normal.

Thank you for your continued support from myself and the people of Taviya District School.
