Hunter is Lou & Delaine's youngest child, he is 4 years old and they have just found out that there is a very large tumor in Hunter's head.
Lou says, "It's been a long 48 hours and at this present time it is the first time I've had time to reflect and really get my head around everything that has happened. I'm still in a lot of shock as this has happened suddenly. The Doctors found a huge tumor in Hunter's head that has apparently been growing for the past 6 months to a year. Our brave wee boy didn't really show any symptoms until recently, about 2 weeks or so ago. We were constantly going to the Doctors and finally arrived int he Emergency Department (ED) where the the tumor was identified. I am so grateful we took him to ED and followed our gut feeling. Another day and we would've lost him."
This provides Lou's & Delaine's whānau and friends with the opportunity to support them both through this terrible and frightening ordeal. They are both in Auckland at Starship Hospital continually at Hunter's side, we pray for them that Hunter has a speedy recovery.
Hunter has had an operation where majority of the tumor has been removed, however, whilst they are both up in Auckland, it means that there is no one at home providing an income stream for them to support themselves. If everyone could please 'Give-a-Little' to support them at their time of need.
This is to assist Lou & Delaine with financial support and a little freedom so that they can spend as much time as possible with Hunter without having the financial burden, yet alone worrying about Hunters healthcare needs.
The funds raised will only be used in relation to Hunter's recovery including travel and other associated expenses.
On the move!! 12 October 2019
Kia Ora ano Whanau,
It's been an exhausting 2 weeks to the day...ish. We have been on an emotional roller-coaster to say the least and we as a whanau have grown stronger than ever before. I personally want to thank you all for your ongoing love and support over this journey our Bumblebee 💛💛💛 is taking us all on.
Hunter is now at the whanau home in his new room.
We would like to ask that we have no visitors until Monday if you were to visit at all. Please come between 1pm and 5pm or organise a time outside these hours with Bailee Barber and Kristian Barber.
If you have been sick or around any sick children we ask that you do not visit until you and/or the children are symptom free for 48hrs.
No children are to visit Hunter in his room please.
Thank you all again and much love from me and the Whanau.
