Sports- NZ Women's Fistball Fundraiser for the World Cup in Argentina 2024
International
Kia ora I'm back again playing for the Fistball Ferns, this time off to Argentina to take on the best at the Women's World Cup.
This season has looked a little different for me, and I am certainly not as prepared as I was for the World Games. Following a small MVA at the start of this year, I've been getting over a concussion which has meant I haven't been able to train at full capacity and that my work is moving to part-time. This has made it difficult to save money to go, as I am living off 0.5 of my study scholarship. I'm still determined to compete. This World Cup is part of my road to retirement in sports, where I hope to retire from competitive team sports after the 2025 World Games.
This trip involves costs such as:
NZ training costs- flying to Christchurch
Flights to and from Argentina
Uniform costs
Vaccination costs
Again every dollar counts, though I know it is a tough economy this year.
I have a few other ways that I am trying to raise money along the way, so keep an eye out on my social media, for clothing sales, or quiz nights.
If I raise above the target this will go towards the World Games hosted in China 2025

Lowering the goal to encourage some more support. There are things I haven’t yet paid for that I’m trying hard to cover.
