Fund-raising to help Syrian family after fire
A fire on Monday night has left a Syrian family homeless. This page has been set up to show community support and to help them start again.
OtagoOn the evening of Monday 19th October, a fire gutted the home of a Syrian family living in Mosgiel, Dunedin. This lovely family of seven are former refugees who are working hard to establish a new life in New Zealand. To make the situation even more difficult, this tragedy coincided with the death of a close family member in Syria. The family has no insurance and so this page has been set up to show support from their new community with all funds being donated to help them start again.
Amber Fraser-Smith's involvement (page creator)
I am a friend of the family who wants to help them at a time when they could do with love and support from their new community.
Use of funds
All funds will be given to the family to help them get clothes, school supplies and household items and supplies.
