Riding the Gentle Annie; 130 km with 2500 metres of climbing to raise money for our awesome Napier Women's Refuge team.
Hawke's Bay
In 10 days time I am riding in the Gentle Annie Cycle Race which is undoubtedly the hardest race I have ever entered. It travels from Taihape to Hastings and covers 130 km with 2500 metres of climbing.
It is one of NZ’s most challenging rides and historically the vast majority of the field are male cyclists. With only a handful of females entering each year I realized that this is a great chance to highlight women overcoming challenges.
As such I see an opportunity to fund raise for our Napier Women’s Refuge team who work tirelessly around the clock to help women and their families through huge challenges. Thank you Women's Refuge very much!
The Napier Women's Refuge do fantastic, important work around the clock and I would like to support them through my bike race
To help the Women's Refuge team run their programme and facilities to assist women and their families in need of sanctuary and support.
Aha I've just worked out how to say thank you individually on the donation site (: 1 April 2018
Whilst I have some strengths computer wizardry is certainly not one of them.
Thus with only 3 days left before this fundraising site draws to a close I have just worked out how to say thank you individually to everyone who has given money in the donation section.

Thank-you the mighty Kebbell Connor Team all! I think it might be quite a long time before I ride over those hills again....I'm not saying never because I have a life-long dislike of that word "never" but I am happy to say it will be a long long long long time (: cheers xA
