GET UP FEST - Street Art Festival

$2,430 of $5,000 goal
Given by 25 generous donors in 7 weeks

GET UP FEST - New Plymouth's live display street art festival. Free community event. Not-for-profit. 2-9 March 2026.

New Plymouth, Taranaki

The GET UP FEST team has been working endlessly over the past several months to bring this free community art festival to life. With support already received from generous local businesses and organisations, we’re now seeking additional funding to reach our target and ensure the festival is successful, sustainable, and proudly representative of our community.

All contributions go directly toward essential costs including paint, artist fees, materials, equipment hire, accommodation, and vital health and safety measures.

In 2026, 25 local, national, and international artists will bring their talent to Taranaki—transforming permanent walls and large free-standing structures through live painting, workshops, and interactive education sessions. These artists are ready to breathe new life into worn and weathered spaces, injecting fresh energy and creating vibrant, lasting works for the public to enjoy.

Our mission is to champion creative freedom, celebrate artistic expression, and help our community take pride in the beauty and culture of our city. GET UP FEST continues to build on Taranaki’s growing reputation as a leading arts destination.

As a not-for-profit charity, GET UP FEST relies on the support of people who believe in art for everyone. If you value creativity in public spaces, we invite you to get involved, make a donation, and be part of bringing this festival to life.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
