We need help to get Cameron Surrey to the Brisbane Ignite Conference, where he will raise the profile of the Catholic Discipleship College.

The Catholic Discipleship College needs support to help get - The House and Formation Leader - Cameron Surrey to the Ignite Youth Conference in Brisbane. There he will engage with potential students and raise the profile of the Catholic Discipleship College within Australia, and with attendees from New Zealand, Canada, the USA, Ireland, East Timor, Thailand, Malaysia and the Philippians!

The Ignite Conference, held on the 22nd to the 25th of September, is a great opportunity to launch into the Australian Catholic scene. Every year it draws 1300+ adults, students, kids, ministry leaders, teachers, priests and religious.

Since it began in 2001, Ignite Conference has grown to become the largest Catholic conference for young people in Australia.

Please pray for CDC, for Cameron, and particularly for this trip. That Cameron will stay safe, keep healthy and share as God and the Holy Spirit leads him.

The Cost of Cameron's Transport, accommodation, food and the conference is $750. And any contributions exceeding the cost of the trip will go towards the general running of the Catholic Discipleship College.

CDC is a nine month immersion in Scripture, prayer, philosophy and theology, lived in community open to mission.

Our students study philosophy as a preparation for theology. We challenge them to live a life of prayer and fraternal love, centred on the Word of God and the Holy Eucharist, free from attachment to social media and the culture of entertainment.

The formation offered at CDC includes personal studies, regular classes by specialist lecturers, spiritual direction, pilgrimages, retreats and conferences. Students share household tasks and leadership, and take part in outreach missions and recreation activities. All this supports a purification in the truth, opening the heart to a personal intimacy with Christ.

Thank you so much to to all our generous donors! We have blown our aim of $750 out of the water. We very quickly raised $805 on this Give A Little page + $200 was handed to us in cash and $120 was donated by bank transfer! Thank you once again for the support, it gives us great encouragement to continue striving to make CDC the best it can be.
