Getting independence back

After helping my 12yr old daughter beat cancer..diagnosed at nearly 3yrs old.. life looked like it was going get back to normal.. but after a major car accident, I got pneumonia in July 2020.. since then I have been in and out hospital..then new years day I got really sick and was given 24-48 hrs to live I had a major bleed in my lungs and my lungs were 90% full of blood..which I beat these odds .. I then developed a auto amune disease.. which is being treated with chemo and high flow oxgyen..now Iaminpukekohehospitalrehab.... I am in need of a foldable electric wheelchair... I can't get anywhere and for my chemo, hospital appointments etc I need 2 nurses one to pull oxgyen and one to push wheelchair.. if I had a foldable electric wheelchair I wouldnt need 2 nurses nor would I need anyone as I can get an attachment for oxgyen cylinders and the wheelchair will fold up into a boot which means I can catch taxi etc..when I mention the foldable chair to OTs they never heard of them, they have asked for a specialist OT to come to make a assessment as you imagine not many people are in my position..but that could take months if not a year..I have also spoken to my doctor who has signed all forms for Winz and for lotto etc ...we are appling for lots of grants but they all also take time.. and so far Winz turned me down for a loan to buy myself as I am currently in hospital, and all my needs should be meet.. but realty is it still takes staff members off the hospital floor which is already under staffed and under funded... any questions I am happy to answer just pm... if I get a grant or I am successful in any way in getting my wheels or I discontinue to live, I would love Pukekohe hospital to receive the funds and or chair as I can see it being of great use
