Gift a Goat Project for the David Tyler School in Uganda

$1,205 donated
Given by 11 generous donors in over a year

Helping Ugandan families fund school fees through this sustainable goat farming initiative.

Nationwide

We’re excited to launch a new project where New Zealand families can donate adult female goats to help families in Uganda become self-sustainable and educate their children.

In Uganda, even a small contribution can make a lasting difference. A single goat can provide a family with a sustainable source of income for school fees. Your support today will directly transform a child’s future and create lasting change for generations.

There is no free education in Uganda, and the David Tyler school assists many orphaned and vulnerable children.

When a family receives a pregnant goat, they can expect two pregnancies in the first year. The two kids from these pregnancies will be given back to the school, supporting the project. This process will repeat, and by the end of two years, families can breed their small herd of two or three goats for up to 10 years.

With the income from selling the goat kids, families will be able to afford their children’s school fees.

We will be hiring an experienced goat handler who will assist the families in caring for the goats, ensuring they are well looked after throughout the project!

Thank you for considering a donation:

A huge thank you to everyone who has donated a goat so far. Your generosity has helped us get off to a great start!  7 September 2025

We’re still in the early stages of this project, but already it’s making a real difference. Each goat is offering a more sustainable way for families in Uganda to earn the funds in the future needed to pay their children’s school fees, something many could otherwise never afford.

Our next goal is to purchase another 30 goats before the end of this year. With Christmas just around the corner, would you consider adding a goat to your Christmas shopping list?

For NZ$150, you can give a meaningful gift that will help a child go to school and give a family hope for the future.

Thank you for workign together with us to change lives, one goat at a time.
