Gillian is about to embark on her battle with breast cancer.
Auckland
She has grade 3 breast cancer (aggressive) and this has gone to her glands in the arm pit. 20 March is her first chemo session to shrink her 8x8cm tumour and in the glands, then surgery in 5-6 months, then possibly more chemo and radiation. If we can take away a small worry of money, so she can focus on kicking this beasts butt, then that is a win we will gladly take.
This will help support Gillian and the costs that will arise from this journey, and to keep her 2 girls at school and involved in their activities they enjoy.
Thank you so much for even considering donating, that is amazing. Love Bev
I am Gillian's sister, motivator and cheerleader in this fight. Hell, I'd put on my boxing gloves if it would help.
Snip snip time! 24 May 2015
Due to a bad ear infection and lengthy recovery, surgery has now been bumped up the list - 19 June to be exact! Mastectomy on the left one (reconstruction will be over a year away) and removal of the 4 glands, in hospital for 2 nights then home. Estimated 4 weeks out of action at this stage. Then back to Chemo. By then the ear will be well and truly sorted and no more risk of it spreading to other places. Good luck to Gill, and her surgeons!
