Give a little for Erica Emery (nee Walsh)
Hamilton, Waikato
Erica is a devoted mum of 7 beautiful children: Tyler 14, Ezmay 8, Keeani (step-daughter) 5, Aubree 5, Nikau 4, Avery (deceased) and baby Lenyx.
She recently married Keegan on 26 February 2022 and the next day not feeling well; her blood and iron level low was a sign something was wrong with her health.
The following week while she has been in Waikato hospital undergoing tests - her condition has deteriorated rapidly while doctors and specialists try to diagnose her symptoms.
She has experienced two mini strokes she didn’t realise she had, blood clots on her brain, liver and kidney which has led to her losing sight in both eyes and some memory loss causing some cognitive issues.
While Erica and her family await the biopsy results, doctors have already confirmed the cancer has spread throughout the majority of her body.
She misses her babies tremendously and anyone with young children understand the enormity of the emotional and financial support that helps at times like this. This is a young, resilient mum that would do the same for any of those closest to her. She is the matriarch of her whanau and needs our love and support as she fights for her life.
Your koha and prayers are appreciated while this whanau go through the hardest times of their lives.
Liz Horne, Ezmay's nana

Gone too soon 7 March 2023
It is with a heavy heart to share that Erica’s battle with cancer is over and she passed away on Sunday 5th March 2023 in the loving comfort of her husband Keegan, her children, parents, whanau and friends.
She is at peace now and will forever live on in the hearts of those who love her.
She showed amazing courage throughout the past year fighting her illness and embracing life.
I know there are no words that can ease the pain for her loved ones left behind to deal with their grief, and our love and support are with her whanau at this sad time.
On behalf of the whanau they would like to thank everyone who has contributed to her give a little page which has an annual timeframe and is due to close on 9th March 2023.
