Help OneBike create a secure home for 50 community kids’ bikes so they are ready for local tamariki to ride for years to come.
Frankton, Queenstown
OneBike is taking on a precious fleet of 50 kids' bikes. Help us build them a secure home!
The OneBike Hub has been entrusted with a precious taonga (treasure)—the entire fleet of community kids' bikes formerly managed by the Wakatipu Toy Library!
While we are honoured to take on these wheels and keep them available for local tamariki, we have one urgent problem: The bikes need a home!
Our goal is to purchase and fit out a robust shipping container, transforming it into a secure, weather-proof, and accessible storage hub and help fund repairs and maintenance for the next two years. The "OneBike Kids' Home" is essential to keep the fleet maintained, safe, and ready for use by hundreds of local children for years to come.
FUNDRAISING GOAL:$20,000
Give $20 to get us to $20,000!
A huge thank you to Ziptrek Ecotours Queenstown for kickstarting this campaign with a MASSIVE donation of $5,000 towards this project.
The Lightfoot Initiative was started to help meet a shared goal of less reliance on car travel, less congestion on our roads, less carbon in our atmosphere.
OneBike is a Lightfoot Initiative Project that is making sure that everyone in Queenstown to has access to safe and affordable bicycles, spare parts and quality cycling equipment. We are committed to reducing the disposal of bicycles into landfills by prolonging the lifespan of bikes.
Full fit-out of a container, access ramps, bike racks, repairs and maintenance of the bikes for two years.
