Grammar Old Boys Challenge for Auckland City Mission

Grammar Old Boys - you have been challenged!

Auckland

Auckland Grammar School students are challenging the world-wide Auckland Grammar School Old Boy network to mobilise and match their collection of canned food to Auckland City Mission’s One Can, Two Can campaign, can- for- can. For example, last year, the Mission distributed 10,934 emergency food parcels to struggling families and individuals.

The students are putting in a big effort bringing tinned foods to School for this very worthy cause, and the Old Boys’ Association has taken up the challenge and pledged to match them!

You can join in and make your donation on this page. For every dollar you donate, AGSOBA will buy a can. NZD15 will pay for a meal for multiple people in need, so whatever your donation, you will make a difference. If your business or colleagues can donate canned goods or offer product at wholesale cost, please be in touch so we can really leverage the AGSOBA's contribution and benefit the Auckland City Mission. Contact: Cynthia Morris, Executive Secretary c.morris@ags.school.nz

AGSOBA will choose and deliver your cans to the School for subsequent delivery to the Auckland City Mission.

Donations can be made anytime from now up until 9pm 24 June so be a part of helping today’s Grammar boys make a difference in our community.

Check in with he updates on this page or on Facebook (grammarOBA) to watch the growing pile of canned goods.

The AGSOBA is supporting this student initiative to raise awareness for and fill the pantry of the Auckland City Mission.

The Interact Club at Grammar has issued the challenge on behalf of the School: Old Boys...can you bring in more cans and donations than we do?!

About us

The Auckland Grammar School Old Boys’ Association was launched in 1893, 30 years after the School was founded, with the aim of cementing the strong links that were being forged between the School and the city of Auckland and to foster the friendships and connections that developed during school years.
