Help Josh on his trek to help others beat obesity & depression - he's the first person to raise funds for Health Navigator Charitable Trust!
Nationwide
Josh Thomson is no longer obese nor depressed. Far from it, the enthusiastic 27-year-old has trimmed down from 165kg to 95kg and bursting with determination to keep his weight off and his life on track. What’s more, he plans to help other young people find what they need to turn their lives around, too. Josh is literally on track with this goal as he takes on a five-month, 3000km plus trek along Te Araroa – New Zealand’s trail. As he hikes, tramps and fords his way from the cape to the bluff, he’s raising awareness about obesity and depression and money for charities close to his heart, which includes Health Navigator.
We're involved because Health Navigator is one of three charities Josh is raising funds for. He says our national health information website is the glue between raising awareness of obesity and diabetes and getting key messages about both conditions out to all New Zealanders.
Health Navigator is a charity providing trusted, NZ-relevant health information to Kiwis looking for reliable answers to health and wellbeing questions. Our team works hard to ensure you get the information you need when you need it, and that you can TRUST what we say. The site has 1000s of topics, easy to understand medicines information, prevention tips and it houses the first ever NZ App Library. We ask people like you what they want on the site, so we are Kiwi-centred and give you what you are looking for. We survive on donations and small contracts and need your support to keep going and growing.Thank you for helping us help you!
