My best friend needs surgery not covered by insurance
Wellington
My cat Helena, or Hel, has some gum issues which insurance isn't covering.
We've been getting by on antibiotics and steroid injections, which in the long term will do her more damage, particularly to her kidneys. She really needs tooth extractions, and I've been trying for months to save up enough money for it but I just can't. I have an injury preventing me from full time work so I do what I can, when I can.
I am happy to arrange paying people back in future, just let me know at the time.
Also I can cross stitch little unicorn patches in different colours as a thank you, flick me a message and I can make sure I do that for you
Vet bills, getting Helena to the specialist dentist so her extractions can be as clean and well done as possible.
Anything surplus will be used for her future vet bills, fancy tasty food or donated to the SPCA
My lil toothless 22 October 2020
Surgery went well! Helena has quite a few less teeth now, but has kept her canines and little front ones. She was very high for a very long time after getting home, and she was having a BLAST. Her appetite appears to have grown too!
She's been allowed back outside and is very appreciative of that fact. Hardly a moment I'm home that Helena isn't close by; she has continued to be an absolute smooch, headbutting me and accepting tummy and chin scritches.
I know I say this every time, but I am truly, indescribably grateful to everyone who helped us make this happen. Sharing, donating, sending me a message of support. I haven't been able to respond to your comments yet but I will, I promise!
All of this is still incredibly overwhelming, nigh on unbelieveable, but Hel and I both have to adjust to our new reality.
Love, peace, and prosperity to all 💖
