Help Amigos Peer Support Group share and connect with people

Wellington

Amigos Peer Support Group provides connection and support to Wellington's mental health lived experience community. We do this by providing coffee and activity groups during the week and on Saturdays. With the cost of living getting worse by the day many of our community struggle to pay for a coffee and life's simple pleasures like catching up in a cafe locally to share and connect with each other. With this in mind Amigos Peer Support Group is seeking donations to subsidize coffees at our coffee groups. You could give a small, medium or large donation to our cause and that is awesome. Any financial donation would be appreciated.

About us

Wellington After-Care Association Inc. (trading as Evaro) is one of the oldest charities in Wellington, providing services for adults with intellectual disabilities and mental health consumers for more than 95 years. We have three services in the Wellington region supporting people with disabilities. 1. Evaro, a day service focusing on life-skills and community participation. 2. Evaro Employment, a supported employment service working with individuals to gain and maintain paid employment in the mainstream workforce; and 3. Evaro Transition which supports the school students and their family/whanau to find positive life outcomes beyond secondary school.

Thank you all for donating to our community and what I get out of the groups  27 July 2026

"Thank you for donating to our cause. I have suffered from social anxiety and have felt incredibly lonely but although it was scary. Coming along to the coffee and connection groups has made me feel less anxious and less lonely. I am starting to find a group that cares and matters to me and a group where I feel safe to be myself. Thank you."
