Please help raise funds for life saving cancer treatment Liposomal Doxorubicin (Caelyx)
Auckland
Brigette is fighting for her life - and for the chance to marry the man she loves and spend longer with him.
Hi, I'm Brigette's Uncle Simon. Brigette's living with incurable stage four metastatic breast cancer and fighting to stay alive to marry and spend as long as possible with Greg - her best friend and soulmate.
After six failed treatments, there's another medicine that can keep Brigette stable - but it isn't funded in New Zealand. The cost is $66,000 for six months, and without it, she'll lose the precious time she's fighting for. Brigette, along with friends and family, has raised some of the costs but is well short of the 66K.
Your kindness can help her reach her wedding day.
Every donation - no matter the size - helps bring this treatment within reach and gives her a chance.
I know that each day she has with Greg is precious. She dreams of their wedding day, walking towards Greg in her wedding dress and marrying him. He has been by her side through everything and is such a nice man. He's her soul mate, protector and cares for her deeply. It means everything to her to be able to marry him and call him her husband.
If you've read this far, thank you. Please, if you can, help her hold onto a little more time.
Time for her to walk towards her future husband wearing her wedding dress and to say, "I do".
Time for her to keep living, loving and hoping.
From the bottom of our whole family's heart, thank you for helping her fight for her life, her love and future.
I’m Brigette’s Uncle Simon and I felt the need to create this page to help her out as I care deeply for my darling neice.

Funds may now also go towards unfunded sacituzumab/govitecan treatment
--
All donations, no matter how big or small, will go directly towards paying for six months of life-extending treatment (Liposomal Doxorubicin (Caelyx)). If it miraculously becomes funded then donations will fund other out of pocket medical costs. We currently are unaware of what these medical costs may be and a page update will be posted if funds go towards other medical costs to specify what these costs are.

I really struggled with the vulnerability of sharing and asking for your help but I’m so grateful I did. Not just for the financial assistance we gained, it was the outpouring of love and support that has meant so much. I read a Rumi poem today “Like a Feather” that really resonated with me and expresses it so much better than I can
like a feather
sticking together
with your friends
you can fly as wings
and as long as you fly
you rule over the wind
but cut away
as a single feather
you’re not only useless
you’re gone with the wind
Thank you all so very much for helping me rule over the wind.
Eternally grateful for each and every one of you.
Xx
