Help bring my furbaby, Flower, home to NZ from Rarotonga - keeping families together!

I adopted Flower after arriving in Rarotonga on a teaching contract in 2020. Her photo had popped up numerous times on the SPCA page and I couldn't believe this gorgeous wee girl was being overlooked due to being a tripaw. I was in tears after hearing her story and knew it was fate that our paths had crossed. She came home with me that day and we have not spent a night apart since - she has been the most loving and caring companion who constantly makes me smile and fills my day with so much joy. During COVID times when the borders were closed she was my only family here and I cannot even contemplate leaving her behind when my contract is up at the end of this year. She has been through so much already, losing a leg and having to undergo some pretty horrendous heartworm treatment which was incredibly tough for both of us. But we are on the mend now and will (fingers crossed) have the final official all clear at the end of October ready for our return to NZ. She is somewhat of a local celebrity as we walk each day, rain or shine. I am simply known as 'the tall blonde girl that walks Flower'. There is no personal space with Flower, if you are a tourist lying on the beach enjoying the sun then you can guarantee that she will be pushed in next to you within seconds, giving plenty of kisses and wanting cuddles. She is more than just a dog, she is my most loyal companion, my protector, my comforter and my biggest supporter. I could not imagine life without my wee girl, Flower.
Use of funds
Importation costs to transport Flower from Rarotonga to NZ - includes flights, quarantine requirements on arrival and pre-departure medicals at the vets. If there was to be any excess funds, these will be donated to the Cook Islands SPCA.

Hi all, quick update. MPI have confirmed that they have Flower's application and are processing it as we speak. Once this permit comes through we will book 'little Miss' her flights. They did also mention that due to changes in testing that Flowers stay in quarantine may need to be extended which as you imagine was not music to my ears. 10 days was already going to feel like forever without her especially seeing as we have not spent a night apart, but we will cross that hurdle when we get to it. Only 4 days to go on our givealittle page. We have been truly blessed by the support and kindness that has been shown to both Flower and I already and are getting close to our target.

I know I am definitely bias, but Flower really is the best wee girl and despite having been through so much is still the most loving and loyal wee companion who just brightens my world every single day!

Oooooh Twiggy, thank you so much. It may sound cliche but it really does mean the world to us both - leaving her behind was just never an option. Like I say to everyone over here, you cannot put a price on family and the joy and love that she has brought and will continue to bring to me and so many other people is worth it a million times over. Alba, you are an angel! We truly cannot thank you enough for supporting us both. Flower cannot wait to meet you in person and to cover you with kisses (drool!) and hit you with overexcited tail wags and paw you for handshakes (not easy on three legs but she will!)
