** 39 year old - with Rare Stage 4 Metastatic Cancer. Urgently requires Immunotherapy treatment. Please help!!!! **

**Diagnosed**

In July 2018 our beautiful Dee (Delina) was diagnosed with an extremely rare and aggressive stage 2B cancer. Only two cases of Cervical Carsinosarcoma have been reported in NZ and account for less than 5% of uterine malignancies worldwide.

**Treatment**

After undergoing a vigorous 6 week treatment plan of Radiotherapy and Chemotherapy, the tumour has been unresponsive to treatment and rapidly progressed to stage 4 metastatic cancer. This has come as a massive disappointment as you can imagine, and she is now looking to an alternative therapy, which comes at a high price and is needed now!

**Emergency Surgery**

If that was not enough to battle, she was recently rushed to hospital as her bowel had stopped working for 12 days, and without an emergency operation would have died. The surgeon intended to insert a stent, however, during surgery the damage was too severe for this procedure. Resulting in a section of the colon surgically removed. All was well until 2 days later when the bowel stopped working again. Delina was given an emergency colostomy and is now adjusting to her new stoma bag.

**Immunotherapy NZ**

Immunotherapy treatment may help, but in New Zealand is not yet publicly funded for this type of cancer and will cost approximately $10,000 per treatment, requiring 6 - 8 treatments. Dee is doing all she can to beat this disease, and is undergoing self funded Vitamin C infusions twice a week, and an alternative supplement regime through Dr David Holden.

**Further Treatment**

She is about to embark on yet another round of radiation treatment, and coupled with immunotherapy treatments, doctors say this is really her only chance now. Doctors have also resigned themselves, as has Dee, to the fact that current Chemotherapy options will not be effective, nor do they think that Dee could handle the impact of what Chemo will do to her.

**This IS her last chance!**

For those of you who know Dee, you know what a light she is in so many peoples lives, from young to old, and for those who don't know her, maybe your heart is big enough to find something to help beat this insidious challenge she has before her. The finances needed are simply beyond the means of family and without your donation there is simply no immunotherapy action we can take without the finances that are urgently needed.

Delina's love of life has seen her form amazing relationships with so many, a Nanny and caregiver, she has been instrumental in positively influencing the lives of many children. She is an incredibly talented sportswoman and touch football referee and active community member involved in various youth and sports organisations.
