Help Deonté get his groove!

My son, Deonté is 16 years old and such an amazing, kind and caring boy but has struggled with his appearance thanks to the look of his teeth, his whole life. He could never play contact sports due to the risk of knocking his teeth and causing immense pain, he hates talking on video calls and has had severe bullying from other kids at school.

He has an overjet of 13.5mm and because of this has never been able to close his mouth properly and I would love to be able to pay for treatment for him but being a single mum of 3 kids, I simply just cannot afford to. I have looked into funding for help with Deontes teeth but there is nothing available for us and even a comprehensive assessment alone is atleast $550 at the orthodontist so we can see what work needs to be done etc. Unfortunately orthodontist treatment is not free in New Zealand.

I truly believe once Deonté gets the treatment he needs on his teeth it will absolutely change his life and give him confidence in himself to reach his full potential as I believe he really holds himself back because of it.
