Meet Stinky!
So named because well, you guessed it, this poor dude was a little rough around the edges.
Stinky's one of a number of cats who had been living it tough on the streets in Takanini. One of our team and a cat whispering young lady named Jade, has been helping get these kitty cats desexed and ready for a life of luxury in their very own homes.
Stinky previously had a large abscess which he has had lanced and treated. He has had many baths so is now *mostly as fresh as a daisy and has been desexed, microchipped and treated for fleas and worms. He has ongoing allergies (hence why his scrunchy eyes in photos when he has a flare up) which are being managed by his foster.
The next part of his journey is for a desperately needed dental to remove a broken canine, along with a scale & polish, to help in his return to full health. The vet has suggested this will also improve his immune system so he is better able to manage the allergies, so this treatment should be so beneficial for this guy.
Stinky is a pretty special cat and our team would love any bit of support we can get to help this guy regain full health ❤️

Stinky had his dental 😺 23 August 2023
Great news Stinky had his dental late last week and will be no doubt feeling a lot better without his broken canine. Thanks so much for all your support - without you he would have waited so much longer for treatment ❤
Sadly though his FIV test came back positive. Our foster will help him manage this the best he can and doesn't mean he won't yet go up for adoption, just that he will need a certain type of home to cater to Stinkys needs long term
