Possum needs your help

Gorgeous wee Possum's dental is booked!

And we desperately need help raising funds to cover her procedure.

As most pet owners will know, the costs of food, grooming and vet care have all substantially increased over the last 5 years. As a rescue we are committed to ensuring our foster kittens receive any necessary procedures or treatments they require before heading off to their new homes.

Possum arrived in to our care as a tiny kitten with a broken lower canine and was very emaciated. Due to her tough start to life suffering malnourishment and then trauma to her mouth, she has had gingivostomatitis - significant inflammation in her gums and around her teeth and lips, with very enlarged mandibular lymph nodes. Subsequently she requires some incisors and premolars extracted.

She is a special girl, and has grown a duplicate lower pre molar tooth which also needs to be removed as it is causing malocclusion.

We have gathered estimates, and the best costing we can get is $1200-$1470 with Franklin Vets Pukekohe.

Possum is a quirky, fun girl with a cheeky charismatic personality. She has grown strong, sleek and healthy, and the final piece in her journey to finding her forever home is to have her problematic teeth removed.
