Support Georgia to compete in the Oceania Champs & World Athletics races overseas to qualify for the 2024 Olympics & 2025 World Champs
Nationwide
From the last two World Championships in Oregon and Budapest, I have learnt so much from the experience discovering a drive and determination to work towards some of the biggest goals possible in sport, the Olympic Games 2024 in Paris and the World Championships in 2025.
I have represented Hastings Athletics since I was six years old competing at multiple Colgate Games and NZSSAA Championships winning titles in the age group 100m and 200m as well as anchoring multiple relays. More recently achievements are as follows:
* NZ Senior 200m Champion for the last four years.
* Current (and two time) Oceania Area 200m Champion.
* Represented NZ at the U18 and U20 World Champs.
* Represented New Zealand at two World Athletics World Championships in the 200m.
* Multiple NZ age group and Senior NZ 4x100m record holder.
* 25th in the 200m World Ranking as of March 24th.
I am going to compete in World Athletics Ranking competition's overseas against some of the world's best athletes qualify for the Paris Olympics. I will also compete in the Oceania Area Championships this year. There’s a huge cost associated with this which is all funded privately, and I would be so grateful for any help that you are able to offer.
Georgia's Dad... We really need your help please in a self funded attempt to get Georgia to IAAF World Athletics ranking races to qualify for the Olympics and World Champs
Any money raised will be used towards flights, transport, and accommodation while competing at World Athletics ranking events across the world.
Update 3: Season Complete 25 June 2024
Hey everyone,
After a rough season, even with the best support I could ask for, my poor hamstring just could not come back well enough for a second time. Alongside this there were/are factors both inside and outside of my control. So, I will not be competing at the Olympic Games this year. It hurts a lot, I am truly heartbroken. Although, I was initially embarrassed to feel this upset, as I did not feel I was thought to be good enough to justify it. I am not sure what I feel now, I think differently. But I am still proud and I do not regret pushing at all.
To everyone who has supported me, I am forever grateful. I have been surprised and completely humbled by each of you. Your messages and support have meant the world to me. I am truly sorry that I could not make it, but I promise you that the lessons I have learnt will allow me to grow as an athlete and a person. I will be better.
Thank you again.
