Help Hamish Experience the Trip of a Lifetime to Japan

$100 of $7,000 goal
Given by 1 generous donor in 6 weeks

Help our son travel to Japan with his school for a once-in-a-lifetime cultural and learning adventure.

Masterton, Wellington

We are so proud to share that our son, Hamish, has been accepted to travel to Japan with his school!

This is more than just a trip — it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience a new culture, learn firsthand about Japan’s rich history and traditions, and grow in confidence and independence. From exploring ancient temples in Kyoto to seeing the vibrant energy of Tokyo, this journey will open his eyes to the wider world in ways that a classroom simply can’t.

Hamish has worked incredibly hard for this opportunity, and we couldn’t be prouder of his dedication and enthusiasm. He is especially excited to learn more about Japanese culture, try new foods, and connect with students from a completely different part of the world.

We’re reaching out to our friends, family, and community to help make this dream possible. Every donation — no matter the size — will go directly toward travel costs, accommodation, and educational activities.

If you’re able to contribute, we would be so grateful. And if you can’t donate, sharing this page would mean just as much.

Thank you for supporting Hamish as he takes this amazing step into the world. 🌏✨

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
