Our page is to help get Josie on the road to recovery at home and assist with exspences,

After what was called a spinal bleed on September 23rd 2022 , Josie has a damaged spinal cord which in turn has left her paralysed from below the chest down. From Middlemore hospital to ASRU( Auckland Spinal Rehab Unit ) and due to transfer back to Rotorua 20/1/23 ( closer to home) for a few days maybe weeks while house is being modified to make home wheelchair friendly ie shower modified , doors modified, toilet modified which we a footing the bill for as we were told MOH had a 9 month waiting time , ( wasn't waiting that long) . Modifications , vehicle and bills all still have to be paid !

Christmas Is Near 6 December 2023
Josie is back home now , in time for Christmas . Now we will be able to have a great Christmas , things are looking up for her for now , with less pain relief since she's been home. Familiar surroundings and faces is what she has been missing not staff that fill her up with heavy pain relief so she doesn't recognise her own family , since being home that is not an issue now , truely blessed to have Josie out of hospital and at home ,
