Help Keep Ellesmere Brass Band Hall Open
Show your support with a donation to keep one of New Zealand's oldest bands going into 2021

The Ellesmere Band has been a part of Leeston since 1902, with the well-known band hall built in the 1930s.
Since the beginning of 2020, the band has had every performance cancelled and therefore has had no income to maintain the hall or pay the rates and insurance bills. Thanks to the Selwyn District Council, we have recently had some assistance towards this but the band has been depending on playing at the Ellesmere A & P Show. This would have enabled us to finally earn some income of our own. Sadly, the show committee had to make the hard decision to cancel earlier this week.
We know there are many community members who love the Ellesmere Big Band. We are asking for just a small donation to help us make up this shortfall.
Use of funds
The funds will be used to pay for power and insurance for the Leeston band hall.

Ellesmere Big Band ready to go on tour! 8 March 2021
The schedule is live for the Harbour Street Jazz and Blues Festival in Oamaru! Thanks to all of your support we have been able to keep practising in our heritage hall. The band is looking forward to spreading their infectious love of music to the people of Otago!
We will be opening the festival on Friday night at The Brydone Hotel, back there on the Saturday and then out to the street party on the Sunday.
