Help Kora raise funds for a sensory fish tank
I am looking to help raise funds for my daughter, Kora, who has Down Syndrome, for a fish tank setup for her visual sensory experience .

Kora is a vivacious and adorable three-and-a-half year old. She has Down Syndrome, and she is a blessing to us and to those who know her. As her Mum, I look for opportunities to help Kora grow and to be stimulated.
Kora just loves fish, and we regularly take her to the local pet stores to look at the fish there. We would love to get her a fish tank setup at home. A smaller tank is a risk for being toppled over so we would like to get get her a larger, more stable setup. Kora responds really well to visual sensory stumuli, and fish just delight her with their constant movement and colours.
I realise that to some, this might not seem necessary, and they would be correct. As parents, we feel this is one very special thing we can do for our daughter that will give her ongoing joy in many ways.

Kora is our three-and-a-half year old daughter. She has Down Syndrome and our aim is to provide her with opportunities for growth and development.
Use of funds
Funds will be used for the purchase of a fish tank setup including cabinet to support the tank, air filter, stones, plants, and fish. Any surplus funds will go to the ABCD group (Aiming for the Best for Children with Down syndrome).

Kora's fish tank community 18 January 2021
Kora's fish tank is now all complete (with the exception of a few more plants). We have a community of fish, and Kora enjoys watching them dart about, chasing each other, and naming the colours of the fish.
Kora will take her little chair and turn it towards the fish tank and then take my hand and lead me to a chair for me to sit in and watch them with her. As time goes by we hope that she will be able to help take care of the fish and tank.
