Goldilocks (Mackenzie) is cutting 35.5 cms off her hair on Saturday 26th August to fundraise for Viks Rescue

Mackenzie has decided to cut her hair and sell it to Freedom Wigs and to use the proceeds to donate to Viks Rescue, a well deserving local cat and kitten rescue charity. She would love to make as much as she can for Viks Rescue, so Vik can continue doing the amazing work she does!

A bit about Viks Rescue: a registered cat and kitten rescue charity that has been operating in the Hawkes Bay since 2006.

They provide a rehabilitation and adoption service, as well as supporting pet owners with de-sexing and matching rescue cats and kittens with loving homes. All animals leave Viks Rescue well, with up to date vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipped and de-sexed.

Use of funds

The funds goes towards housing, feeding and vet care before the cats and kittens are adopted.

So today was the day!! Mackenzie had her hair cut for Viks Rescue. It was so lovely to meet Vik and Louie (the cat) this morning when Mackenzie got her hair cut at Di's Hair & Wig Specialists.

Thanks Di for the fantastic new look, Mackenzie hasn’t stopped smiling! She loves her new hair and she’s thrilled with how much she has raised for Viks Rescue.

Her hair is now on its way to Freedom Wigs in Dunedin!
