Raising funds to attend the cheerleading global games in Hawaii 2025.
Torbay, Auckland
I am heading to Hawaii for my first ever international Cheer competition in May 2025.
So a little about me, I am 8 years old and have been in Cheerleading for a year and love every minute of it. I struggle academically with absorbing information and being able to meet the standard expectations of learning. While trying to place a label on it either dyslexia or APD cheer has helped keep me focused. With Cheer the constant repetition, importance of being on count including long practices have built my confidence. It is also one sport I find fast paced, structured in which I never get bored. Also the Cheer community and coaches have been the icing on the cake by being part of a bigger family.
I have worked very hard this year and it has been an amazing experience for me so far. I want to be able to keep pushing myself towards the higher goal (Worlds or being part of the NZ team) in years to come and this experience will open that door.
So I need your help in getting there. I have been selling sweets and snack packs at the beach but this is harder than I thought. So I am hoping this may be another way in getting the financial help we need to lighten the cost.
I appreciated all the help and donations so far from friends and family around the world as well as strangers so Thank you to everyone who has been supporting me.
The beneficiary is my mother and own personal
Cheerleader.
The funds will help towards my flight and accomodation.
2025 cheer season 1 October 2025
I have experienced a life-changing year, and I appreciate the encouragement from everyone online and in-person, as well as the support from locals who helped me begin the year with enthusiasm. Recently, I participated in the Hawaii trials for 2026 and was offered a spot on both level 1 and 2 teams. I hope to take full advantage of this opportunity.
Since May, I have been working hard to improve my tumbling skills, and after returning from Hawaii, I successfully executed a back handspring and connected it a few weeks later. Last term, I focused on mastering my aerial and front handspring to cartwheel back walkover, and today, I finally achieved my aerial and front handspring round-off back handspring.
Furthermore, I recently received hearing aids to assist me at school, and the adjustment has been successful. My coaches have been amazing, providing patience and ensuring that I am aware of all developments. We will be traveling to Australia at the end of the month for a cheer competition, and I am excited to share this experience with my team.
Thank you again to everyone who has contributed to these amazing experiences.
Love, Beatrice.
