Help me get my car back
Help Jaya get his car back.

On Christmas eve my car got stolen. It was recovered but was damaged to the tune of $3000. The insurance company is charging me an extra excess fee because my car was a high risk vehicle of being stolen. Which is news to me!
Apparently the damage means the car is a write-off. To get my payout I need to pay $1700 in excess fees. I don't have that.
I am currently most broke I have been since I was a student and honestly have no other access to funds otherwise I wouldn't be here asking for your help.
Every $ helps and I will make up for it to everyone that donates.

The insurance company has been very difficult to deal with. My worst experience to date.
Anyway you all gave me enough money to cover the excess which is great, thank you so much!
It turns out that I have to pay for my entire year's premium which is another $1400 but that gets taken out of the settlement. So I still have to pay off $1400 of my loan. But! The lender convinced me to take out something called GAP insurance (which is insurance for if your insurance doesn't cover everythiing - so insurance on your insurance). It was only $2 extra a month so I thought why not and it has saved my bacon!
