Be a Part of My Stroke Recovery

Hello, beautiful people,

In 2005, I faced a challenging battle with a brain tumour, which left me deaf in my right ear.

In November 2021, I experienced not one, but two strokes. In a matter of seconds my career as a musician and music teacher ended. These strokes left me paralysed and weakened on my right side. Despite the immense challenges, I have worked really hard and have made excellent progress on my journey to recovery.

However, significant mobility issues with my right hand remain, preventing me from playing my instruments and conducting. This has always been my way of expressing myself, connecting with others, and finding joy even in the toughest moments.

As I embark on this new journey towards recovery, I am not only seeking your support but also promising to use my experience to inspire and bring hope to others who are experiencing stroke or personal hardship. I plan to share my story showing that there is light at the end of the tunnel, the power of never giving up, and that resilience can be learned.

Now I am at a crossroads in my recovery and I need your help. I have learned about a groundbreaking treatment called Perispinal Etanercept at the Institute of Neurological Recovery in Florida, that has shown remarkable results for stroke survivors like me.

The cost of the treatment, along with travel to Florida and accomdation costs are way beyond my reach now and I need your help.
