Help our brave Molly keep on fighting
Canterbury
On Sunday, a simple farm walk with Kim's six border collies turned into a nightmare. Molly (10) was found injured under a tree. A stick - about 20 cm long - has pierced her leg, broken a rib, and entered her chest cavity. She's had surgery and is now stable, but still fighting in the care of our amazing vets.
Molly is no stranger to hardship. Four years ago, a small wound runed into a life-threatening flesh-eating infection. She endured three skin grafts and a year of healing - and came through it with the same quiet strength she's showing now. She's not just a dog to Kim - she is the heart of their home, part of a big, much-loved crew of dogs, cats and farm birds.
The vet bills are quickly mounting, and while Kim would do anything for her, it's becoming overwhelming, and there is not much money left.
If you're able to donate or share her story, it would mean the world to Kim and to Molly.
Thank you for helping Molly to keep on fighting
Kim is my best friend, we have been friends for over 40 years. She is a care-giver, and has a huge heart, taking in stray animals (she has two rescue cats), and she would give the shirt off her back to help anyone.
