Help Noel Walk Again Pain Free: Give Back to a Man Who’s Given So Much
Woodville, Manawatu-Wanganui
For 74-year-old Noel, life has always been about helping others. Since 2007, he has lived in Woodville, dedicating himself to his community. His quiet strength and kindness have touched many lives, but now he needs our help.
Noel suffers from acute osteoarthritis in his hip, leaving him in constant pain. Simple tasks like walking and sitting have become unbearable. Yet, he never complains—he faces each day with courage and an unwavering commitment to giving back.
For the past nine months, Noel has been stuck on New Zealand’s public healthcare waiting list, unsure when he’ll get the surgery he desperately needs. But with $33,500, he can have the procedure privately within weeks, freeing him from pain and allowing him to continue his work.
This isn’t just about surgery—it’s about giving back to someone who has spent his life serving others. Noel has made Woodville a brighter place, and now it’s our turn to shine a light on him.
Every dollar gets him closer to the pain-free life he deserves. Whether you can contribute $5, $500, or more, your support will help him walk comfortably again and enjoy his golden years as he should.
Please donate, share Noel’s story, and help make this dream a reality. Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
Note: This fundraising initiative is an independent effort by friends supporting a friend in need.
Noel is a good friend, who needs a bit of help.

Update: Noel’s Surgery & Recovery – A Journey of Resilience 🙏 25 June 2025
We’re so relieved and grateful to share that Noel underwent his surgery in early June. What was meant to be a one-hour procedure turned into a 3.5-hour operation due to unexpected complications — surgeons discovered overgrown bone that needed to be carefully addressed. It was more complex than anyone anticipated, but thankfully, the medical team did an incredible job.
Noel is now recovering well. He has started walking again and is gradually easing back into light daily chores. Every small step forward feels like a big victory — and he remains in good spirits, deeply thankful for the love and support he’s received.
Because the surgery was ultimately performed through the public health system, as previously mentioned, the funds raised will be donated to the Lighthouse Centre — a cause Noel truly believes in — once he has regained enough strength to personally manage the banking.
Your generosity helped carry him through an incredibly tough time. From Noel and all of us — thank you, from the bottom of our hearts. ❤️
