Please help fund Owen’s Cancer Treatment
Auckland
In April 2023, Owen Hughes was diagnosed with terminal Cancer and has been fighting for his family ever since. He has taken every form of treatment that has been offered to him in the public health system, but now needs to fund further treatment himself which has been quoted at a cost in surplus of $100 000.
Owen Hughes has taught for over 30 years at schools including Rosmini College and St Peter’s College in Auckland. He has been an incredible mentor to so many students and has dedicated his life to supporting those he has taught. His attendance at sports and extra curricular activities has allowed him to get to know so many families in the community.
Owen has been married to his wife Anne for 40 years this May, and is the best father to his four children. He has just welcomed his first Grandchild in October 2023 which has helped fuel his motivation to fight as hard as he can to spend as much time with his family as possible.
Owen has positively impacted so many lives and we hope that people who are a part of the community that Owen has mentored within, can now provide support for him and his family during this difficult fight. Any contribution that you are able to make will be incredibly helpful.
