Help Paige get treatment for her debilitating chronic migraines.

My name is Paige and I’m trying to raise money for a medication called Emgality to ease my debilitating chronic headaches and migraines I’ve had since I was 7, I’m 22 now.

The only relief I’ve had over these last 15 years was 2 years on medical marijuana between the ages of 14 and 16 which left me with lasting mental health issues, and over the past two years I have had to take triptans daily which have kept me in a constant overuse of medication leading to a rebound cycle of migraines but the past several weeks the medication has largely stopped working. In the past two years after trying 5 different medications I’ve seen two neurologists but felt hopeless after both as, due to my agoraphobia and financial situation, none of the treatment options were accessible to me.

The medication I’m wanting to start is called Emgality and isn't funded by Pharmac. It costs $325 per shot taking one a month, with an initial dose of two for the first month. Just $2500 would allow me 6 months to trial this medication and hopefully finally give me some relief. And even if this particular medication doesn’t work magic for me ultimately all funds will go towards finding one that will.

Emgality gives me an chance at a quality of life I haven’t been afforded since I was a child and any amount of support would be greatly appreciated.
