Help Peter Rabbit Get the Care He Needs: Surgery Fund

Meet Peter, our sweet 1-year-old fur baby, adopted from the SPCA when he was just 5 months old. Peter is the heart of our home, always snuggled up on the couch, demanding strokes with his nose nudges. He’s also the best brother to his dog sisters, Poppy and Phoebe, who are never far from his side.

We’ve always made a commitment to give our pets a forever home, and all of our animals have been rehomed. We learned that Peter needs surgery to remove 6 front teeth due to severe malocclusion. The surgery is estimated to cost between $1800 - $2400. As a family committed to providing a forever home for our pets, this news has come as a big shock.

Whilst we know this is our responsibility, we would be so grateful for support. Any donation - no matter how small (even $1!) - will help us make sure Peter can get the care he needs. His surgery was scheduled for January 20th at Pet Doctors St Lukes & Exotics Centre.

Setback: The night before his surgery, Peter chipped a tooth, which led to a postponement of the procedure. In the meantime, we’ve had to cover the cost of teeth filing to keep him comfortable, adding unexpected expenses (bill attached in photos). The original surgery cost does not include the follow-up vet appointments, the filing, or the critical care food Peter needs. What started as an estimated cost of $1800-2400 has escalated much more quickly than we anticipated (good job he's cute!)
