Help reunite a mother and her daughter
Please help Eunice and her daughter, Daniella, reunite after being separated due to family violence.

In 2023, Eunice arrived in New Zealand from Uganda with her young son to reunite with her New Zealand husband. She left her eldest daughter (13 years old) in Uganda with her grandmother, planning to bring her over as soon as she was settled. After only 2 months, Eunice had to flee the family home with her son, fearing for her life. In the 2 months together, she was subject to ongoing violence and threats.
With the help of women’s refuges, friends and the community, Eunice has found a safe home. She has completed family court proceedings and got residency in New Zealand. She has also got a residency visa for her eldest daughter, Daniella, to join her.
Over the last year, Eunice has survived on a hardship grant. This has left her with no savings or spare money to pay for her daughter’s airfares over. She needs enough money to pay for a one way ticket for Daniella and a return ticket for her mother to accompany her daughter. A one way ticket can be up to $NZ5000 and a return ticket around $7000.
Eunice and her daughter Daniella would love to be together again. Please help pay the airfares so they can reunite.

The money will be spent on one way airfares for Daniella to come from Uganda to New Zealand, and airfares for her grandmother to accompany her.

Daniella arrived safely 3 March 2025
Thank you so much to everyone who has continued to support Daniella. She arrived safely on Thursday morning with all flights going very smoothly. Her family are delighted to have her here. Today we will go to enrol her at school. She has a lot to get used to, but is so happy to be with her mother and little brother.
Latest donations
Thank you so much for your generous donation. This was such an answer to prayer, as it has enabled Daniella’s extended family to travel with her to Entebbe to prepare her for the travel and say goodbye. It will also help cover her resettlement costs such as uniform and clothing.
