Rory is trying to raise money to become an Internationally Certified ADHD Coach and to provide accessible and affordable ADHD support.
Nationwide
My name is Rory McCarthy and I have Adult Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). During the past year I’ve been researching and looking into support for ADHD and have realised that we have very few ADHD Coaches.
You can see my most recent work around these issues here: https://roryreckons.blog/category/mental-health/advocacy-mental-health/
You can learn more about ADHD Coaching here: https://chadd.org/about-adhd/coaching/
This service is extremely helpful for people with ADHD and provides context specific life coaching and training advice to help children, adults and families thrive with ADHD.
Unfortunately there is no government funding available for this course.
My goal is to complete training for this, and to open my own business that offers this service at affordable rates, along with pro bono work to help those who really need it without the means to pay.
Living with ADHD is often debilitating and services offered currently are very inaccessible and unaffordable. I really want to improve the lives of people living with this condition and to help them achieve their goals in life.
The coaching course I want to take part can be found here: https://addca.com/adhd-coach-training/Basic-Program/
I also have another page here: https://givealittle.co.nz/cause/help-raise-funds-for-an-adhd-diagnosis
All money will go towards course fees for ADHD coaching, with any money left over to be donated to the NZ ADHD (adhd.org.nz) Organisation to continue their work in education and support.
